Pag-Asa Centre as a Charity

We are a Christian Church with a God-ordained mandate to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, share the love of God, give hope to the hopeless, help those who are hurting, bring them into membership in His Church, help them grow in Christlike maturity, equip them for the ministry and send them in this life mission. We are passionate to render service and give back to the community where God has planted us. We are involved in homeless ministries by providing them food and clothing. The church has been actively involved in disaster assistance globally during the Covid pandemic, major earthquakes, devastating floods in the Philippines and other countries. We believe in empowering the youth and young children in the UK by reaching out to them through sports, music and dance ministries. We have that dedication to provide a scholarship program to less fortunate but deserving students in the Philippines.

For 18 years, Pag-Asa Centre church has experienced the abundance of God's goodness and faithfulness. We have witnessed transformation, multiplication and miracles both within the lives of individuals and as a whole congregation.

We began Pag-Asa Centre with 3 families in 2007 in the house of our dear Pastor Doc and Pastora Shay Ambat with a dream of fulfilling the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, of multiplication through winning souls and making disciples.

So with continuous growth, we began to rent a hall in Chadwell Heath where we further grew both spiritually and in numbers, becoming a church of less than 100 people. With focused hearts in the vision of expanding the Kingdom of God through the gospel and discipleship, the hall could no longer contain our growing numbers, so we moved to a larger building in Dagenham Park School. Year after year passed, and we began to multiply exponentially becoming a family of over 200 members. So in 2022, we moved forward to rent a hall which we congregate in today, in Jo Richardson School.

Since starting Pag-Asa Centre, we have witnessed the very name God has given His church — Hope. The church has been involved in youth activities by connecting with them through weekly gatherings where they can discover their purpose, find meaning in life and become a blessing to their family and community. Through the church, we are helping them to be out of the streets, away from alcohol or drug addictions, crimes, depression, immorality and other bad vices and influences.

For 18 years, it has been our dream to own our very own building where we can congregate, grow, edify, pray and build stronger communities. We have faith and hope in the Lord that He is truly leading us to greater opportunities for growth. We believe that it is not an accident that God has directed us to the building which we are bidding on to become Pag-Asa Centre's home. This will not only be home on Sunday’s but every day of the week, where we can congregate as a church family with open doors for everyone. In preparing to bid for this building, we have collectively worked together to find different ways of gaining funds to have our own building, including Crowdfunder and fundraising activities.

By faith, this is the place where we will continue to build unshakeable foundations in Christ within the heart of every person to love God and love others. We are confident that by the grace of God, we can continue our journey of multiplication in this hall we can prayerfully soon call home. We are hoping that through your love, prayers and generosity, you will be able to help us raise the amount we need for our church building.
